Adventure update

4,370 miles on the road and now we are camped at Walmart in Fairbanks. Raining hard all day and the forecast looks like more of the same. Here is how we got to Fairbanks.

After 2 days in Skagway AK, we headed North. These are the overnight stops:  Pelly Crossing YT Gov't campground, Dawson CityYT Gov't campground 2 nights, Tanacross AK, and tonight Fairbanks.Tomorrow ???? Some highways; Cassaire, Taylor (of which 175 miles were narrow, dirty and dusty), the Alaska, and Klondike.

The 3 amigos are a-ok and doing well. Sometimes we have the breakfast of champions - coffee and ibuprofen. If we can make it to the Arctic Circle in the next few days that will be as far north as we can go - at least for us.

There are too many highlights to post all but maybe a few pictures. That is a little more difficult for me to do, so please have some patience. Lorraine has taken over 2,500 pictures so far. Going back and trying to pick out a few is a challenge.

Tom and Jane Render in Coeur d' Alane, White Pass train ride in Skagway, moose on the road, panning for gold at the site of the original gold strike in Dawson City, some of the challenging roads. When we were driving on a single lane dirt road the sign ahead said that the road narrows, NARROWS TO WHAT!!!

Communication was difficult to come by in the Yukon boonies. We met a nice Canadian couple who said, "The USA is the greatest country in the world and can do anything so why don't they fix their problems." That just about sums it up.

I'll post this then try some pictures
